Daily Itinerary

Day 1 September 6 – DEPART USA

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on your international overnight flight.

Day 2 September 7 – ARRIVE IN ROME

You will arrive in Rome, Italy where you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Port of Civitavecchia to board the Odyssey of the Seas.

Day 3 September 8 - AT SEA

Day 4 September 9 - CORINTH & CENCHREAE

Journey to the ancient city of Corinth, where the apostle Paul met fellow tentmakers Aquila and Priscilla and received a vision from the Lord. As Paul spoke, Crispus (chief ruler of the synagogue) and many others believed and were baptized, establishing the church at Corinth to whom Paul later wrote his two epistles. Discover the Archaeological Museum, Market Place and Temples. As you walk among the ruins, stand on the Bema, where the apostle Paul stood before Gallio to face charges brought against him by the Jews. Stop briefly at the port town of Cenchreae from which Paul later departed for Syria (Acts 18: 12-18) before returning to your ship.

Day 5 September 10 - ATHENS, GREECE

Travel to the legendary city of Athens for an awe-inspiring immersion into Greek history, mythology and might from the cruise port of Piraeus. Upon arrival, you’ll begin a narrated sightseeing drive that winds past the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium, an ancient wonder reborn as the site of the first modern Olympics in 1896. Your drive will lead to the most iconic ancient site in Greece – the Acropolis. Climb the steep steps leading to this complex of temples and buildings dating back to the 5th century BC and built as a grand monument to thought and the arts. Witness the Temple of Athena Nike and explore the iconic Parthenon, dedicated to the Goddess Athena and offering sweeping panoramas overlooking the city below. A short walk from the ruins leads to Mars Hill where Paul preached to the Athenians.

Day 6 September 11 - AT SEA

Day 7 September 12 - SEA OF GALILEE

Venture inland to the Sea of Galilee to stand on the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached (Matthew 5). At Tabgha, the traditional location of the feeding of 5,000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9). On the shores of the Sea of Galilee is the Chapel of the Primacy of St. Peter, where three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21). From there, travel to Capernaum where Jesus called Peter, Andrew, James, John (Matt. 4) and later Matthew to be disciples.

Day 8 September 13 - JERUSALEM or BETHLEHEM (Choose your tour today)

Journey to Jerusalem to see Caiaphas’ House, where Jesus was tried before the Sanhedrin. Stand upon the Mt. of Olives and view the city as Jesus did. See the Ancient olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane. Wander the Old City to view the Pool of Bethesda, and walk along the Via Dolorosa. Step inside the Church of the Holy Sepluchre, built over the sites of the crucifixion and the resurrection. or While docked in Ashdod, explore Bethlehem, where you will discover the cave revered as the place where Jesus was born (Matt. 1; Luke 2). The Church of the Nativity constructed over the site, is the oldest functioning church.

Day 9 September 14 - AT SEA

Day 10 September 15 - RHODES, GREECE

Get the real authentic Rhodes experience by exploring it on foot. Your walking tour will begin in picturesque Old Town, where you will pass through and learn all about Agora and Collachium, where the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem lived and worked. Marvel at the stunning churches, exquisite Jewish quarter, the Inns of Knights, and the Palace of Grand Masters. You will then tour the palace interior and down the Street of Knights — its path paved with impressive marble and mosaics. Then it’s on to the Hospital of Knights museum, where you’ll learn all about the ins and outs of this majestic town. Afterwards, stop for a refreshment in a local café. Exploring Rhodes on foot will inevitably leave a lasting impression on you.

Day 11 September 16 - EPHESUS

Ephesus is one of the Seven Churches of Revelation and was once a bustling port town graced with wide, colonnade-bordered streets and a population of 250,000. Although spectacular excavations have revealed much of the glory of ancient Ephesus, including the huge Agora and Library, much has been lost. The ancient world once declared the Temple of Artemis to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World but today, only a single column remains to mark its site. View the terrace houses, also known as “the houses of the rich,” which give a true impression of ancient lifestyle. Explore the Museum of Ephesus for an up-close look at ancient artifacts.

Day 12 September 17 – AT SEA

Day 13 September 18 – NAPLES

Today we are docked in Naples. You can choose to journey inland on an optional excursion to ancient Pompeii, dating almost to the time of Paul, where you can see the spectacular ruins that were covered by ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. Another nice option is to visit the sunny Isle of Capri, or you may opt to wander Naples on your own. (Shore excursions today will be booked directly through Royal Caribbean.)

Day 14 September 19 - RETURN TO USA

Disembark the Odyssey of the Seas and transfer to Rome to return home with a new understanding of the Apostle Paul’s life and ministry.

September 5- Arrive in Rome

Today you will arrive in Rome, Italy where you will be met by our representative and travel along the Appian Way. Step beneath the surface into the Catacombs of Callixtus, built along the Appian Way. Here 16 Popes from the 2nd through 4th Centuries were interred, though they have been removed to various churches over the centuries. Check in to your hotel this evening and enjoy dinner and rest.

September 6 - Vatican City & Christian Rome

Visit the Vatican, and explore its museum. Marvel at the beauty of St. Peter’s Basilica, and stand in awe of Michelangelo’s frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. Next, proceed to the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. The present structure stands over the place where Constantine built the first church over Saint Paul’s grave. The church features a portrait of every Pope that has served the church. Climb the graceful Spanish Steps and stop at the famous Trevi Fountain before returning to your hotel this evening.

September 7 - Ancient Rome

Discover the history woven throughout Rome with visits to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Forum, Circus Maximus, the Arch of Titus, the Baths of Caracalla and the Arch of Constantine today. After touring, you will be transferred to the Port of Civitavecchia to board the Odyssey of the Seas.

Climb the graceful Spanish Steps and stop at the famous Trevi Fountain before checking in to your hotel this evening.
