Day 1 September 26 – DEPART USA

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on your international overnight flight.

Day 2 September 27 – ARRIVE IN ROME

You will arrive in Rome, Italy where you will be met by our representative and transferred the Port of Civitavecchia to board the Celebrity Edge.

Day 3 September 28 – CATANIA, SICILY, ITALY

Arrive in Catania and drive into the mountains along Sicily’s east coast to discover the village of Taormina. Follow a well-worn footpath uphill and enter gates that open onto history. Walk the streets that lead to the Palazzo Corvaia and other sites, including the ancient Greek Theater. Though thousands of years old, it’s still renowned for its sensational acoustics by artists today. After your guided walk, enjoy free time to shop along the town’s busy main street.

Day 4 September 29 - AT SEA

Day 5 September 30 – SANTORINI, GREECE

Dock in Santorini today, one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands where picturesque whitewashed villages topped with brilliant blue domes stand in stark contrast to the sheer drop cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. The island itself perches on the edges of a volcano whose eruption 3,500 years ago is thought to have led to the collapse of the Minoan civilization. Explore the island on your own or join one of the optional excursions available for purchase onboard. Shore excursions today will be booked directly through Celebrity Cruise Line

Day 6 October 1 – EPHESUS, TURKEY

After your ship arrives in Kusadasi, travel inland to Ephesus. Marvel at the ancient city, known as an open-air archeological museum. Delve into the incredible treasures of Ephesus, including an in-depth exploration of the Terrace Houses. First built in the 10th century B.C. and lasting until its abandonment under Ottoman rule, Ephesus dazzles visitors with its ruins. See the Odeon, a concert hall, the steam baths of Scholastica, the famed, two-story Library of Celsus and the Grand Theater where St. Paul preached. Walk the Arcadian Way, a procession route of Cleopatra and Marc Anthony. Enjoy Lunch before participating in a short carpet demonstration and the option to browse the amazing collection of authentic handmade Turkish carpets and other local products.

Day 7 October 2 – ISTANBUL, TURKEY

The bejeweled capital of Istanbul sits between two continents and is home to 450 mosques. You will visit the famous Blue Mosque with its six minarets and sparkling interior. You will also visit the Topkapi Palace, once home to royal Sultans. Inside, you will see the fabled jewels of the Treasury, delicate displays of Chinese porcelain in the Kitchen Quarters, and the provocative Harem Quarters. Walk through St. Sophia (Hagia Sophia), which was the largest church in Christendom for 1,000 years. Built by Justinian (532-537 A.D.), the church has 107 columns, fossil imbedded white marble floors, and beautiful glass mosaics. Today, it is the Museum of Byzantine Art. Enjoy the aroma of cinnamon, cloves, thyme, and other exotic spices as you explore the Grand Bazaar. Over 4,000 shops sell everything from herbs to gold.

Day 8 October 3 - AT SEA

Day 9 October 4 – MYKONOS, GREECE

Arrive today at the world-famous Greek Island of Mykonos, where gleaming white-washed buildings seem to climb atop each other to reach the azure sky. Admire its many hills dotted with iconic windmills. Explore the island on your own or join one of the optional excursions available for purchase onboard. Day 10 October 5 – ATHENS & CORINTH, GREECE

Travel to the legendary city of Athens for an awe-inspiring immersion into Greek history, mythology and might from the cruise port of Pireaus. Upon arrival, you’ll begin a narrated sightseeing drive that winds past the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium, an ancient wonder reborn as the site of the first modern Olympics in 1896. Your drive will lead to the most iconic ancient site in Greece – the Acropolis. Climb the steep steps leading to this complex of temples and buildings dating back to the 5th century BC and built as a grand monument to thought and the arts. Witness the Temple of Athena Nike and explore the iconic Parthenon, dedicated to the Goddess Athena and offering sweeping panoramas overlooking the city below. A short walk from the ruins leads to Mars Hill where Paul preached to the Athenians. Enjoy Lunch before continuing on to the city of Corinth, where the apostle Paul met fellow tentmakers Aquila and Priscilla and received a vision from the Lord. As Paul spoke, Crispus (chief ruler of the synagogue) and many others believed and were baptized, establishing the church at Corinth to whom Paul later wrote his two epistles. Discover the Archaeological Museum, Market Place and Temples. As you walk among the ruins, stand on the Bema, where the apostle Paul stood before Gallio to face charges brought against him by the Jews.

Day 11 October 6 - AT SEA

Day 12 October 7 – NAPLES, ITALY

Travel inland from Naples and explore the ruins of Pompeii, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was once thriving ancient Roman city, destroyed by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Though buried under several feet of ash and pumice, much of the city was preserved. Upon entering Pompeii start touring this fascinating archaeological site, discovering an array of paintings, inscriptions, and even pedestrian walkways, all immortalized by the eruption. After seeing Pompeii, you’ll have an option to tour a cameo factory, where you’ll see how artisans create these classic, beautifully carved pieces (and shop, if you desire) or enjoy some free time to relax

Day 13 October 8 – RETURN TO USA

Disembark this morning in Civitavecchia and transfer to Rome for your return flight to the US.

September 25 - Arrive in Rome

Today you will arrive in Rome, Italy where you will be met by our representative and travel along the Appian Way. Step beneath the surface into the Catacombs of Callixtus, built along the Appian Way. Here 16 Popes from the 2nd through 4th Centuries were interred, though they have been removed to various churches over the centuries. Check in to your hotel this evening and enjoy dinner and rest.

September 26 - Vatican City & Christian Rome

Visit the Vatican, and explore its museum. Marvel at the beauty of St. Peter’s Basilica, and stand in awe of Michaelangelo’s frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. Next on to the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. The present structure stands over the place where Constantine built the first church over Saint Paul’s grave. The church features a portrait of every Pope that has served the church. Climb the graceful Spanish Steps and stop at the famous Trevi Fountain before returning to your hotel this evening.

September 27 - Ancient Rome

Discover the history woven throughout Rome with visits to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Forum, Circus Maximus, the Arch of Titus, the Baths of Carcalla and the Arch of Constantine today. After touring, you will be transferred to the Port of Civitavecchia to board the Odyssey of the Seas.

Climb the graceful Spanish Steps and stop at the famous Trevi Fountain before checking in to your hotel this evening.
