You could enjoy a drive along the Cornish in the evening. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Casablanca.
Day 3 Day 3 - Casablanca
Casablanca wove its way into the hearts of Westerners thanks to the classic film starring Bogart and Bergman. Today, it abounds with burgeoning hopefuls seeking their own piece of fame and fortune. Casablanca is a large, modern city, where French colonial vestiges remain only in pockets of the Old City. Handsome Moorish-style buildings, a pirate vibe, and contemporary sophistication meld in this Euro-African city pulsing with energy. Visit Hassan II Mosque and drive by the Sacre Coeur Church on your way to Fes. Breakfast and overnight in Fes.
Day 4 Day 4 - Fes
You will enjoy exploring the walled-in city, or medina, of Fes. After breakfast, your tour will begin. While no cars are allowed, you’ll see donkeys in the old city, shops with piles of vibrant spices, and storehouses heaped high with hand-woven carpets in every color and design possible. You’ll hear the call to prayer, reminding the people to carry out their religious duties. This is a chance to see the real Fes. Your guide will be happy to offer information and explanation for the stops you’ll make including the Medersa Bounania, Karaouine area, Nejjarine square, and many of the craftsman. After winding your way deep into the medina, you’ll get to have lunch in the heart of the medina on your own. Some of the other places you’ll visit will be the tanneries, the King’s Palace, Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and the potters. Enjoy meeting local people and attending a lecture today on what it is like to be a woman in Morocco and Islam in Morocco. Breakfast and overnight in Fes.
Day 5 Day 5 - Worship Service, Volubilis and Meknes
Worship with the local congregation at the International Protestant Church of Fes and experience the rich, Christian faith of the Moroccans. After the service, you will set out in the morning to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. You will spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. Enjoy a private gourmet lunch on the terrace at the Scorpion Restaurant in Moulay Idris, one of the holiest cities in Morocco. After lunch, you will visit the imperial city of Meknes. You will return to Fes in the evening. Dinner on your own. Breakfast, lunch, and overnight in Fes.
