Daily Itinerary

Day 1 Depart USA

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on an overnight flight.

Day 2 Arrive in Cairo

You will be welcomed at Cairo airport by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Cairo to enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 3 The Pyramids of Giza & Great Sphinx

Today, visit the famous Pyramids of Giza, constructed over 1,000 years before the birth of Moses. See the Great Sphinx and have the opportunity to ride a camel in the desert near the Pyramids. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4 Egyptian Museum and Khan El-Khalili Bazaar

This morning, your Egyptologist will escort you on a tour of the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum. Stroll through the bustling Khan El-Khalili bazaar. Founded in the 14th century as a watering stop for caravans, it is now reputedly the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5 Alexandria

This morning, trek to Alexandria, a port city located on the Mediterranean Sea founded in 331 BCE by Alexander the Great. Visit the catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa is a historical archaeological site considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. Travel to Pompey’s Pillar, the 4th century Roman triumphal column hewn from red Aswan granite. In the Montazah Gardens, Alexandria’s most beautiful green space, visit the Montaza Palace and Citadel of Qaitbay, one of the most important defensive strongholds in ancient Egypt. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 6 Cairo

This morning, visit the Citadel of Saladin, home to the rulers of Egypt for over 700 years. Nearby, visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Next, journey to St. Virgin Mary’s Coptic Church, also known as the Hanging church, built in the 3rd century above an old Roman Fortress. Nearby, see the famous Babylon Fortress. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 7 Memphis & Saqqara

Tour the rural region of traditional Egyptian farming. Travel as Abraham did to Memphis (Biblical Noph) and on to Saqqara, where you will see the Step Pyramid, the world’s oldest stone structure. Overnight in Cairo.
