Daily Itinerary
Day 1 March 8 – Depart the USA
Your pilgrimage begins as we depart the US and arrive in Mexico. After clearing immigration and customs, proceed to the exit door to meet your tour guide and bus driver. Drive to Puebla for a panoramic city tour before checking into your hotel. (B, D)
Day 2 March 9 – Puebla, Ocotlán & Taxco
After breakfast, enjoy public Mass at St. Francis Church. Then enjoy a tour of Puebla, which will include visits to the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo Church, home to the stunning Rosary Chapel with its stunning tiled, gold-leafed walls. Continue to Ocotlán to visit the pilgrimage church and see the image of Our Lady burnt into a tree trunk after she appeared to Juan Diego Bernardino in 1541. In the afternoon, drive to the famous silver mining town of Taxco, nestled in the rugged mountains of the Sierra Madre. Check into your hotel in Taxco for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 3 March 10 – Taxco
Enjoy breakfast, then celebrate Mass at Santa Prisca Church. Next, you will have a tour of Taxco and stroll through the cobblestone streets. Then transfer to Mexico City and check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 4 March 11 – Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe & Zócalo
Today, spend the day in Mexico City. Visit the impressive complex and one of Mexico’s holiest shrines, “Our Lady of Guadalupe.” Visit the New Basilica, which houses the sacred image of the Virgin (Tilma), and the old Basilica. Then transfer to the Zócalo for lunch and a tour. Return to the hotel in Mexico City for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 5 March 12 – Teotihuacán
Today, drive to Teotihuacán one of the best-preserved ancient cities in Mexico, with countless monumental structures, including the pyramids of the Sun and Moon, framed by the mile-long Avenue of the Dead. In the afternoon, return to the hotel in Mexico City for free time. (B, D)
Day 6 March 13 – Return to the USA
Transfer to the airport and return home.
