Daily Itinerary

Day 1 September 13 (MO) – Depart the USA

Depart on your international overnight flight(s).

Day 2 September 14 (TU) – Arrive in Madrid – Burgos walking tour.

Your guide will greet you at the airport. Travel to Burgos, where you can enjoy lunch on your own before embarking on a guided city tour. Discover the historic Arco de Santa María, a beautifully decorated gateway built to honor Charles V, and explore the magnificent Gothic Burgos Cathedral, a key pilgrimage site on the Camino de Santiago. Dinner and overnight in Burgos. (D) Overnight in Burgos

Day 3 September 15 (WE) – Leon walking tour

Enjoy a city tour of Leon after breakfast. See the Basilica of San Isidoro, where the Kings of Leon are buried, as well as the Church of San Salvador de Palat del Rey, once a royal chapel. After lunch, we will travel to Lugo for dinner and overnight. (B, D) Overnight in Lugo

Day 4 September 16 (TH) – Sarria to Portomarin (21.5 km)

Begin your pilgrimage on foot in Sarria after breakfast, then return to your hotel for dinner after your day of walking. (B, D) Overnight in Lugo

Day 5 September 17 (FR) – Portomarin to Palas de Rei (25 km)

Depart to Portomarín to continue your pilgrimage on foot from Portomarín to Palas de Rei, walking through charming villages and scenic countryside. At the end of the day, back to the hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay. (B, D) Overnight in Lugo

Day 6 September 18 (SA) – Palas de Rei to Arzua (28.5 km)

After breakfast, continue your walking pilgrimage from Palas de Rei toward Arzúa, covering around 28.5 km through rolling countryside and small villages. At the end of your journey, check into your hotel and enjoy dinner before resting for the night. (B, D) Overnight in Lugo

Day 7 September 19 (SU) – Arzua to O Perdrouzo (19 km)

After breakfast, transfer to Arzua to continue your walking pilgrimage from the town of Arzúa along peaceful forest paths and meadows until you reach O Pedrouzo. Once there, transfer to your hotel where you’ll have dinner and spend the night. Accommodation in Santiago de Compostela. (B, D) Overnight in Santiago

Day 8 September 20 (MO) – O Pedrouzo to Santiago (20 km)

After breakfast, transfer to O Pedrouzo and set out on your final leg from O Pedrouzo toward Santiago de Compostela. Walk through peaceful forest paths and small towns until you reach the arrival point at the Cathedral. You’ll then return to your hotel and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant in the evening. Day 9 September 21 (TU) – Port of Muros, Ezaro Waterfall, & Finisterre

Today you'll take a bus to the port of Muros, then walk to the Ezaro Waterfall. Enjoy lunch in Finisterre, before walking out to the lighthouse at "the end of the world". Finish your day on the "Coast of Death" at the Virxe da Barca Sanctuary, which has survived a 2013 lightning strike and subsequent flooding from the Atlantic. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D) Overnight in Santiago

Day 10 September 22 (WE) – Madrid

This morning, you will transfer to Santiago airport, take a flight to Madrid, and embark on a driving tour around the city. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to explore Madrid at your own pace—dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Madrid

Day 11 September 23 (TH) – Return to the USA

Transfer to the Madrid airport for your return flight home. (B)
