Day 2 November 6: Arrival into Tel Aviv / Jaffa
The journey begins with a visit to Old Jaffa (Joppa), a city rich in biblical history, where Jonah set sail before being swallowed by the great fish, and where Peter received his rooftop vision that opened the way for the Gospel to the Gentiles. The first night will be spent in Netanya, allowing time to rest and prepare for the journey ahead.
Day 3 November 7: Coastal Plain and Mount Carmel
The day begins with a drive up the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea Maritima, an ancient Roman port city built by Herod the Great. Travelers will explore the ruins of the grand Roman amphitheater, the remains of Herod’s palace, and the site where Paul was imprisoned before his journey to Rome. From there, the journey continues to Mount Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal in a dramatic display of divine power. The next stop is Megiddo, an archaeological site associated with many battles throughout history and identified as the prophesied location of Armageddon in the book of Revelation. After exploring the valley of Jezreel, the group will travel to the Sea of Galilee region and settle in for the night in Tiberias or a nearby location in the Galilee.
Day 4 November 8: Jesus’ Ministry in Galilee
The morning will begin with a serene boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, journeying over the same waters where Jesus walked and calmed the storm. The journey continues to Capernaum, often referred to as Jesus’ hometown, where travelers will see the remains of an ancient synagogue and Peter’s house. Next is the Mount of Beatitudes, the site traditionally believed to be where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. After taking in the breathtaking views, the group will visit Tabgha, the site of the miraculous feeding of the 5,000. The day concludes with a visit to Magdala, home to a well-preserved first-century synagogue and associated with Mary Magdalene. In the evening, there will be a special lakeside worship service before returning to accommodations in Galilee.
Day 5 November 9: Upper Galilee and Golan Heights
The exploration of northern Israel begins at Tel Dan, an ancient city featuring an impressive gate dating back to the time of Abraham and a site associated with the golden calf idol. From there, the group will visit Caesarea Philippi (Banias), the location where Peter boldly declared Jesus to be “the Christ, the Son of the Living God” (Matthew 16). The journey continues with a scenic drive through the Golan Heights, offering stunning views of the region. In the afternoon, there will be an opportunity for a baptism service at Yardenit, a peaceful baptismal site on the Jordan River. The evening will be spent once again in Galilee.
Day 6 November 10: Nazareth, Cana and Journey to Jerusalem
The morning begins with a visit to Nazareth Village, where daily life from the time of Jesus is brought to life through an immersive experience. From there, the group will explore the Church of the Annunciation, marking the angel Gabriel’s visit to Mary. The journey continues to Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle—turning water into wine—where couples will have the opportunity to renew their vows. After lunch, the group will travel through the Jordan Valley, stopping at Beit She’an, an ancient city rich in both biblical and Roman history. The grand Roman ruins provide a fascinating glimpse into life during Jesus’ time. In the late afternoon, the group will ascend to Jerusalem, arriving in the Holy City as the sun sets, with time to settle in for the night.
Day 7 November 11: Dead Sea Region and Return to Jerusalem
The day begins with an excursion to Masada, the awe-inspiring fortress built by Herod the Great and the site of the Jewish rebels’ last stand against the Romans. Travelers can ascend to the top by cable car or take a hike for breathtaking views. The journey continues to Ein Gedi, a stunning desert oasis where David once hid from King Saul, with a chance to take a short hike to its waterfalls. Next is a visit to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, offering insights into Jewish life during the Second Temple period. In the afternoon, the group will experience the unique sensation of floating in the Dead Sea, a rejuvenating and unforgettable experience. As the day winds down, the group will return to Jerusalem, where the evening will be spent in the heart of the Holy City.
Day 8 November 12: Old City Jerusalem
Today begins on the Mount of Olives, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem. Walk down the Palm Sunday Path to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before His arrest. Enjoy a time of devotion among the ancient olive trees. Enter the Old City through the Lion’s Gate to visit the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the paralyzed man (John 5). Continue along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Suffering), retracing the path of Jesus’ journey to the cross, and arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, honored by many as the site of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. From here, travel to St. Peter in Gallicantu, the traditional House of Caiaphas, where Jesus was held after His arrest and where Peter denied Him three times. Explore the ancient dungeon, the courtyard, and the steps believed to be part of the path Jesus walked on the night of His trial. Conclude the day at the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest active place of prayer, before returning to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 November 13: Southern Steps, Bethlehem and Garden Tomb
The morning will begin with a visit to the Southern Steps of the Temple, where Jesus and His disciples would have entered.
