Daily Itinerary

Day 1 September 8: Depart for Ireland

Board your overnight international flight to Dublin. Prepare for a memorable journey through the Emerald Isle filled with culture, history, and scenic beauty.

Day 2 September 9: Arrive in Dublin

Welcome to Ireland! Upon arrival in Dublin, meet your local guide and begin discovering the capital. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, and explore the expansive Phoenix Park. Stop for a traditional Irish pub lunch before heading to Kilmainham Gaol for a powerful insight into Ireland’s struggle for independence. Enjoy an orientation drive highlighting Dublin’s Georgian architecture and major landmarks. Check into your centrally located hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening to adjust to the time difference. (D)

Day 3 September 10: Powerscourt Gardens & Glendalough

Depart Dublin and drive south through the Wicklow Mountains. Begin your day with a visit to the renowned Powerscourt Gardens, ranked among the finest in Europe. Continue to Glendalough, a serene valley home to an early medieval monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin. Take time to explore the monastic round tower, cathedral ruins, and picturesque lakeside setting. In the afternoon, journey west through changing landscapes to Tralee. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner and check in for a three-night stay. (B, D)

Day 4 September 11: Skellig Michael Landing Excursion, Celtic Steps Show

Rise early and travel to Portmagee to embark on a weather-dependent boat excursion to Skellig Michael. Ascend the 600 stone steps to the well-preserved 6th-century monastic settlement, where beehive huts cling to the island’s peak and puffins dot the cliffs in summer. Return to the mainland and drive back to Tralee. In the evening, enjoy the Celtic Steps Show—a spectacular performance of traditional Irish music and dance that highlights the rich cultural heritage of the region. Day 5 September 12: The Ring of Kerry

Explore one of Ireland’s most celebrated scenic routes—the Ring of Kerry. Begin with a tranquil boat ride on Lough Leane to visit Innisfallen Abbey, followed by a guided tour of Ross Castle. Continue the coastal drive with stops at the Skellig Ring, Waterville, and scenic overlooks, such as Ladies’ View. Enjoy free time in the colorful village of Sneem before returning to Tralee for the night. (B, D)

Day 6 September 13: Dingle Peninsula & Bunratty Castle to Limerick

Travel west across the Dingle Peninsula, where you’ll visit Gallarus Oratory and enjoy panoramic views from Slea Head, one of Ireland’s westernmost points. Continue north by ferry across the River Shannon and stop for a visit at Bunratty Castle, one of Ireland’s most complete and authentic medieval fortresses. Explore the castle and adjoining folk park before continuing to Limerick. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening. (B, D)

Day 7 September 14: Aran Islands Excursion (Inis Mór)

Transfer to Rossaveal and take the ferry to Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands. Explore the island by local van tour, stopping at ancient religious sites and the dramatic stone fort of Dún Aonghasa perched on seaside cliffs. Savor a local lunch before ferrying back to the mainland and traveling on to Galway for the evening. (B, D)

Day 8 September 15: Cong & Kylemore Abbey

Head north into Connemara, stopping in the scenic village of Cong. Visit the ruins of Cong Abbey and enjoy a walk along the tree-lined rivers. Continue to the majestic Kylemore Abbey, a Gothic castle nestled beside a lake, and stroll through its walled Victorian garden. After your visit, travel further north to the town of Letterkenny and check into your hotel for the evening. (B, D)

Day 9 September 16: Grianan of Aileach, Bangor Abbey, Downpatrick & Saul Church to Belfast

Depart Letterkenny and visit the ancient ringfort of Grianan of Aileach, perched on a hill with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Continue northeast into Northern Ireland. Begin your day at Bangor Abbey, a major early Christian monastic site. Proceed to Downpatrick to visit the St. Patrick Centre and Down Cathedral, believed to be the burial place of St. Patrick. Conclude the spiritual pilgrimage with a stop at Saul Church, traditionally regarded as Patrick’s first church in Ireland. Arrive in Belfast for dinner and check into your hotel in the city. (B, D)

Day 10 September 17: Hill of Tara to Dublin

Leave Belfast and return south, stopping at the Hill of Tara, seat of the High Kings of Ireland and a place of myth and ceremony. Then head to Dublin for a visit to Trinity College to view the Book of Kells and the Long Room Library. Enjoy some free time for shopping or strolling before gathering for a festive farewell dinner featuring traditional Irish music. Overnight in Dublin. (B, D)

Day 11 September 18: Return Home

Transfer to Dublin Airport for your return flight home, carrying memories of Ireland’s breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality. (B)
