Daily Itinerary

Day 1 NOVEMBER 2 - DEPART FOR ROME

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart on an overnight flight to Rome.

Day 2 NOVEMBER 3 - ARRIVAL IN ROME

Arrive in Rome and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner to meet your guide and fellow pilgrims, set intentions for the week, and begin the pilgrimage together in fellowship. (D)

Day 3 NOVEMBER 4 - PAPAL AUDIENCE & THE LIFE OF ST. IGNATIUS

Begin your day in the heart of the Catholic Church — St. Peter’s Square — where you’ll attend the Wednesday Papal Audience (pending the Pope’s schedule). Hear the Holy Father’s words and receive his blessing alongside pilgrims from around the world. In the afternoon, focus turns to the life and legacy of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Visit the Church of St. Ignatius, known for its grand Baroque architecture and stunning ceiling fresco. Then continue to the Church of the Gesù, the mother church of the Society of Jesus, where the tomb of St. Ignatius is located. A highlight of the pilgrimage follows: a visit to the very rooms where St. Ignatius lived, wrote the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus, and spent his final years. Mass will be celebrated in the rooms (pending confirmation), offering a rare and intimate spiritual experience in the footsteps of the saint. (B)

Day 4 NOVEMBER 5 - VATICAN MUSEUMS, ST. PETER’S BASILICA & JESUIT CURIA

Begin the morning with a guided visit to the Vatican Museums, home to centuries of art and beauty, including the Raphael Rooms and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel — a masterpiece of sacred imagination. Then, enter St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the world’s holiest Catholic shrines. You’ll celebrate Mass at a side altar (pending confirmation) and then explore the basilica’s spiritual and artistic treasures, from Michelangelo’s Pietà to the tomb of St. Peter beneath the altar. In the afternoon, continue your Jesuit pilgrimage with a visit to the Jesuit Curia, the international headquarters of the Society of Jesus. A conversation with a member of the Society will provide perspective on Jesuit life today and how the legacy of St. Ignatius continues around the world. (B)

Day 5 NOVEMBER 6 - ANCIENT ROME & PERSONAL EXPLORATION

This morning, travel back in time as you explore the ruins of Ancient Rome, walking through the Roman Forum where early Christians once lived and preached, and standing in the shadow of the Colosseum, a powerful witness to faith under persecution. The afternoon is left open for personal discovery. Whether you’re drawn to Rome’s art, shopping, hidden chapels, or quiet reflection, this time allows you to follow your own path within the Eternal City. (B)

Day 6 NOVEMBER 7 - MAJOR CHURCHES & THE PANTHEON

Begin the day with visits to significant Roman churches, such as the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of the four major basilicas of Rome and the burial place of the Apostle Paul. In the afternoon, gather to visit the Pantheon — one of the best-preserved monuments of Ancient Rome and now a consecrated church. Here, you will celebrate Mass in the chapel inside the Pantheon (pending confirmation), connecting ancient Roman history with present-day worship. (B)

Day 7 NOVEMBER 8 - EXCURSION OUTSIDE ROME & FINAL REFLECTIONS

Today, take a morning excursion outside the city — to Tivoli, known for its Renaissance villas and gardens, or Castel Gandolfo, the papal summer residence perched above Lake Albano. Both offer beauty, peace, and a change of pace as the pilgrimage nears its conclusion. Return to Rome in the afternoon for rest or last-minute shopping. In the evening, gather once more for a farewell dinner, sharing memories, insights, and gratitude for the journey you’ve shared. (B, D)

Day 8 NOVEMBER 9 - RETURN HOME

Transfer to the airport for your flight home, carrying with you not only souvenirs and photographs, but a deeper connection to the roots of your faith, the spirit of St. Ignatius, and the enduring beauty of the Church in the heart of Rome. (B)
