Daily Itinerary

Day 1 September 13 – Depart the USA / Arrival Day 

We depart the USA on our direct flight to Mexico City. Upon arrival, we meet our tour escort and board our motor coach for the scenic drive to Tlaxcala. After checking in at our hotel, we gather for a private Mass at the hotel and a welcome dinner. Overnight in Tlaxcala. (D)

Day 2 September 14 – Puebla

Our day begins in Puebla, one of Mexico’s oldest colonial cities and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains and volcanoes, Puebla is home to impressive colonial architecture. We visit the Church of Santo Domingo, famous for its baroque Rosary Chapel adorned in gold, followed by the magnificent Cathedral. Next, we stop at the Church of San Francisco, where we venerate the incorrupt body of Blessed Sebastian of Aparicio and celebrate Mass together. After time for lunch on our own, we return to our hotel. Overnight in Tlaxcala. (B, D)

Day 3 September 15 – San Miguel del Milagro and Ocotlán

This morning, we will visit San Miguel del Milagro, the site of St. Michael the Archangel’s miraculous apparition to Diego Lázaro in 1631, and celebrate Mass here together. We also see the well of curative waters associated with this miracle. Travel to Ocotlán to visit the Shrine and Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ocotlán, where Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego Bernardino in 1531. Afterward, we will have time on our own for lunch. Enjoy free time this afternoon. Overnight in Tlaxcala. (B, D)

Day 4 September 16 – San Juan Teotihuacán & Acolman

We depart for San Juan Teotihuacán, home to the impressive Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. These pre-Aztec ruins, often referred to as “the Egypt of the New World,” showcase the grandeur of ancient Mexico. Afterward, we will visit Acolman, the 16th-century monastery. We will stop and see Tulpetlac, the site of the Fifth Apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the home of Juan Diego’s uncle, Juan Bernardino. We will celebrate Mass in Tulpetlac and then conclude the day at our hotel in Mexico City. Dinner and overnight in Mexico City. (B, D)

Day 5 September 17 – Cuautitlán, Los Remedios, and Zócalo

Our day begins with a visit to Holy Family Church, home to the shrine of Blessed Miguel Pro, the Jesuit martyr. We then continue to Cuautitlán, birthplace of St. Juan Diego, before stopping for lunch. Our day also includes a visit to Los Remedios in the northwest suburbs of Mexico City. We will visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Remedios, located atop a hidden pyramid. Enjoy some time on your own to grab lunch in Zócalo. We will visit the Zócalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the National Palace, which houses the presidential offices and features Diego Rivera’s stirring mural along the walls of its central patio. Overnight in Mexico City. (B, D)

Day 6 September 18 – The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will celebrate Mass at the Basilica and prayerfully reflect on the miraculous image of Our Lady imprinted on St. Juan Diego’s tilma. We visit the old Basilica, the Church of the Well, the Monument of the Offerings, and Tepeyac Hill, before having free time to shop for religious items and keepsakes. The rest of the day will be spent at the Shrine in prayer and reflection. Dinner and overnight stay are in Mexico City. (B, D)

Day 7 September 19 – Coyoacán & Xochimilco

Visit the Coyoacán neighborhood and see the Church of St. John the Baptist. We continue to the Cathedral at the Zócalo, one of the most impressive squares in the Americas, and then to the National Palace, where Diego Rivera’s murals tell the story of Mexico’s history. Next, we will visit the San Bernardino de Siena Church to celebrate Mass. In the afternoon, we experience the colorful canals of Xochimilco aboard festive gondolas. As we glide past floating gardens, we enjoy a boxed lunch, music, and a lively atmosphere. This evening, we gather for a farewell dinner and spend the night in Mexico City. (B, L, D)

Day 8 September 20 – Return to the USA

Today we will celebrate Mass at the hotel and then transfer to the airport for our return flight to the USA, carrying with us the spiritual grace of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the rich traditions of Mexico. (B)
