Daily Itinerary
Day 1 December 9 – Depart from the USA & Tlaquepaque
Our pilgrimage begins as we depart for Guadalajara. Upon arrival, after clearing Immigration and Customs, proceed to the exit and meet our Representative. Then drive to beautiful Tlaquepaque for a panoramic tour before dinner and overnight in Guadalajara. (B, D)
Day 2 December 10 – Zapopan & San Juan De Los Lagos
This morning, visit the Church of Our Lady of Zapopan and celebrate Mass. Then drive to San Juan de los Lagos to visit the main Cathedral and the Cerro del Cubilete to see the impressive statue of Jesus the King. Continue to Guanajuato, which contains some of Mexico’s grandest colonial architecture. Pipila Monument, set on a hillside, affords a stunning panorama of Guanajuato and the surrounding hills. Overnight in Guanajuato. (B, D)
Day 3 December 11 – Guanajuato & San Miguel de Allende
After breakfast, celebrate Mass at Belen Church and take a walking tour to admire the colonial monuments and churches in Guanajuato. Depart for San Miguel de Allende, an enchanting city with its cobblestone streets, inviting Zocalo framed by a stunning 17th-century Gothic church and centuries-old buildings, plus strings of cafes and numerous art galleries. After your visit, continue to Mexico City and overnight. (B, D)
Day 4 December 12 – Teotihuacan & the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe
This morning, visit the Plaza of Three Cultures. Then, drive to Teotihuacán, one of the best-preserved cities in Mexico, and you will be amazed by the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and the mile-long Avenue of the Dead framed by countless monuments and structures. In the afternoon, go to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe to join pilgrims from all over the world in Mass, honoring Our Lady on Her anniversary. Return to the hotel in Mexico City for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 5 December 13 – Xochimilco & Mexico City
This morning, drive to Xochimilco, where you will enjoy a boat ride with Mariachi entertainment. Return to Mexico City for lunch on your own, Celebrate Mass at St. Francis Church, and take a tour of the Zocalo—dinner and overnight in Mexico City. (B, D)
Day 6 December 14 – Taxco
After breakfast, check out and travel to the famous silver mining town of Taxco, nestled in the rugged mountains of the Sierra Madre. Stroll through the cobblestone streets and visit Santa Prisca Church, with its Baroque altarpieces. Check into your hotel in Taxco and enjoy dinner. (B, D)
Day 7 December 15 – Ocotlan & Puebla
This morning, travel to Ocotlan to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ocotlan, where an apparition of Juan Diego was miraculously burned into the trunk of an oak tree. Celebrate Mass in Ocotlan. Then continue to Puebla. Your visit to Puebla today will showcase its remarkable Spanish colonial architecture. Visit the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo Church, home to the stunning Rosary Chapel. Continue to Mexico City for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
