Welcome To Scotland Arrive at Glasgow Airport and meet your driver and guide. Enjoy a panoramic tour in Glasgow, a city swirled in layers of history and pulsing with a vibrant sense of culture. Overnight, dinner, and breakfast at Ibis Styles or Mercure Glasgow*.

Day 3 June 6, Tuesday: Carfin Motherwell

Depart for a visit to the historic small mining village of Carfin. At Carfin Motherwell, see a site built using the template of the Grotto of Massabielle, Our Lady of Lourdes. This site, built by unemployed miners of the village, has been used as a place of procession and prayer since the early part of the 20th century. Before returning to Glasgow for lunch, enjoy a visit to the community of Carfin, a town of significant importance in the life of Scottish Catholicism. Day 4 June 7, Wednesday: Glasgow Cathedral & Inverary Castle

Experience Glasgow Cathedral, also known as St. Mungo’s Cathedral. Originally a Roman Catholic Cathedral, the building is a superb example of Scottish Gothic architecture. It is also one of the Scottish medieval churches to have survived the Reformation unscathed. Visit Inverary Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, Chief of Clan Campbell. Day 5 June 8, Thursday: Isle of Iona

Witness Iona, a holy isle, and an enduring symbol of Christianity in Scotland. St. Columba and his followers came here from Ireland in AD 563. As a celebrated focus for Christian pilgrimage, Iona retains its spiritual atmosphere and remains an enduring symbol of worship. Today, the Iona Community continues the tradition of worship first established by St. Columba 1450 years ago. Iona Abbey is one of Scotland’s most historic and sacred sites. Day 6 June 9, Friday: Isle of Skye

Skye boasts some of Scotland’s most dramatic scenery with rugged volcanic plateaus and ice-sculpted peaks. The island is divided by numerous sea lochs. Clava Cairns is a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex of passage graves, ring cairns, kerb cairns, and standing stones in a beautiful setting. Discover Sighthill Stone Circle, an astronomically aligned stone circle. Overnight, dinner, bed and breakfast at Royal Highland Hotel or Glen Mohr*.

Day 10 June 13, Tuesday: Palace of Holyroodhouse & Edinburgh

Visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the King’s official residence in Scotland. Visitors can explore 14 historic state apartments and the ruins of Holyrood Abbey. Enjoy Rosslyn Chapel, founded in 1446 by Sir William St. Clair. Its mystery has inspired, attracted, and intrigued artists since its beginning. Then, walk through the Royal Mile, a succession of streets forming the main thoroughfare of Edinburgh’s Old Town.
