Daily Itinerary

Day 1 December 5 - Depart Home & Arrive in Mexico

Your journey begins as you fly to Mexico City. Upon arrival, you will be met by your tour guide and bus driver, who will welcome you to Mexico. After loading onto the bus, you will head to Puebla, where you will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 2 December 6 - Ocotlan & Puebla

After breakfast, you will drive to Ocotlan to visit the pilgrimage church and to see the image of Our Lady of Ocotlan, who appeared to Juan Diego in 1541 and her image was burned into a nearby oak tree. Next, you will visit the Monastery of Santo Domingo to see the Rosary Chapel and the Puebla Cathedral dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. Enjoy a leisurely walk in the Parian Market before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 3 December 7 - Cholula & Taxco

Check out of your hotel this morning and drive towards Cholula to visit the 16th-Century San Gabriel Monastery. Afterward, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of the City of Cholula. Visit the ultra Mexican baroque churches of Santa Maria Tonantzintla and San Francisco Acatepec. After those visits, you will drive to Taxco, the mining capital of Mexico, known for its uniquely narrow, cobble-stoned streets. Check into your hotel here for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 4 December 8 - Taxco & Xochimilco

After breakfast, take a taxi to downtown Taxco (upper town). You will tour through the center of town and visit the Church of Santa Prisca. Enjoy time for shopping before boarding your bus to begin your drive to Xochimilco. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride, followed by lunch and a live Mariachi performance. Finish your day in Mexico City and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5 December 9 - Pyramids of Teotihuacan & the Shrine of Guadalupe

This morning, you will drive to Teotihuacan, one of the best-preserved towns in all of Mexico. It was the most important city in North America around 500 AD when its population was estimated to be 200,000 people. You will be amazed at the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Walk the mile-long Avenue of the Dead, framed by countless monuments and statues. In the afternoon, you will journey to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe to join pilgrims from all over the world in Mass, honoring our Lady on her anniversary. Return to your hotel in Mexico City for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 6 December 10 - Return Home

Transfer to the Mexico City airport to take your flight back to the USA. (B)
